The public pages are an ordinary website. They show our sales, our terms, and how to reach us. You do not need an account to read them, and we do not ask for payment information here. Bidding and payment happen on the auction platform named in each catalog.
What is in place
- Every page is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and this site is encrypted.
- Passwords are stored as a hash. They cannot be read back, not even by us. A forgotten password is replaced. The old one cannot be looked up.
- Sign-in is limited. After too many wrong tries, that attempt has to wait. Someone who hits sign-in too fast is slowed down.
- A firewall keeps the database and the office tools off the public internet. Visitors get the public pages and the client sign-in.
- Repeated failed attempts to sign in to the server itself are blocked for a while.
- A new client account is not open to the public. The office issues a one-time token, and that person sets their own password.
