H.D. Prewitt, Owner and Principal Auctioneer. Growing up, he attended farm machinery auctions with his father, Harold Prewitt, who operated Prewitt Farm Equipment (John Deere) in Richmond, Kentucky. That is how he got started.
H.D. has 26 years in the auction business. A Central Kentucky native, he has nearly two decades of experience in the sale of real estate, including farms in the area.
He attended Reppert Auction School in May of 2000. After auction school he worked 10 years with Ford Brothers Inc. Auctioneers (farm auctions, KASP Auto Auction, personal property, and multi-parcel sales).
He worked 12 years with Mike Gooch of Gooch Auction Group. H.D. has also worked statewide with Willie Baker (Baker Auctions & Real Estate) and Allen Clark (AC Auction Group & Access Realty).
After Mike Gooch passed, H.D. opened his own company with his sons, who want to become auctioneers, and his wife Angela, a real estate agent with RE/MAX Elite in Richmond. He credits Mike Gooch and Ford Brothers for much of what he learned. He is an active member of the Kentucky Auctioneers Association (KAA).
H.D. works to get a fair result for the seller and a clear sale for the buyer.
H.D. has been married for 26 years to Angela Harkleroad Prewitt. They have 4 children. Brayden, Cam, Cade, and Brentlie. They live in Richmond, Kentucky.
