Register on HiBid or AuctionTime, or come to a live sale and get a bidding number. Read the terms for that sale before you bid. If you cannot find the catalog, call 859-893-1148.
Where to bid
This website does not take bids. You register on the site that has the catalog. You may need approval before you can bid. That is normal.
Estate sales, household goods, collections, and other personal property are listed on HiBid. Create an account, then log in from a computer or a phone. The HiBid catalog for that sale sets the buyer’s premium, tax, and pickup times.
Farm machinery and equipment sales are listed on AuctionTime. Use that site when the catalog for the sale is posted there. Register, get approved if the sale asks for it, and bid from the AuctionTime catalog.
Online
The same four things apply whether the catalog is on HiBid or AuctionTime.

Your bid is a contract to buy. If this page and the catalog disagree, the catalog you bid on wins.

Create an account on HiBid or AuctionTime. Some sales approve bidders before the catalog opens.

Look at the photos. When a preview time is posted, go see the items. Property sells as-is.

If you win, pay the way that catalog describes and pick the items up in the posted window. If you cannot, do not bid.
Live on-site
Some sales are held on site. Some are online only. The sale board and the catalog say which. If you are not sure, call before you drive.
Read the terms for that auction before you leave the house. Your bid is still a contract to buy.
Register, finish the paperwork, and get a bidding number. Do that before the first lot.
Look at what you plan to bid on. Items sell as-is, with all faults.
A live sale moves quickly. Bid only when you know which lot is selling.
Real estate buyers
Read the terms and conditions before you bid. Call 859-893-1148 if you need the sale date or the preview time.
“As is, where is” does not mean you cannot have inspections done. Order any inspection you want, the same as a traditional listing, before sale day.
Have financing in place. You will most likely pay 10 to 20 percent of the purchase price on sale day. That money is a nonrefundable down payment that applies to the purchase price. You will also need a letter of credit from your lender, or verification of cash if you don’t require a loan.
It is a good idea to hire a REALTOR® to represent you, even bidding in an online auction. If you are the winning bidder, your REALTOR® is there to help with the contract and paperwork. That takes the risk of emotional bidding out of the game.
